The TrafficGuard conversion snippet tracks user actions on your website using the same Conversion ID and Label as your Google Ads account.
The reason why this is useful is that we match the conversion to the click on your ad and it works as an additional data point to validate IPs.
β
Implementation steps
β
Prerequisite
The conversion snippet requires the TG site tag to function. Ensure the TG site tag is implemented across all pages of your website.
To implement the conversion snippet in GTM, follow the steps below:
Log in to your Google Tag Manager.
Navigate to Tags in the left-hand menu and click New.
Name your tag (conversion snipper).
In Tag Configuration, select Custom HTML.
Paste your specific TrafficGuard conversion snippet into the text area.
βΉοΈ Don't have a snippet? See How to create conversion events in the TrafficGuard portal.
6. In Triggering, select the trigger that represents your conversion (e.g., Contact form).
In the 'Your Company Contact Form' trigger example, the new tag you have created will generate a conversion every time someone fills out the contact form.
7. Save both the trigger and the tag, then submit your workspace changes.
π‘ Tip
For accurate tracking, configure your GTM settings to ensure the conversion snippet fires after the TrafficGuard site tag.
