Step 1 — Sign up and log in
If you haven't already, sign up for a TrafficGuard account. For more information on a suitable plan, click here.
Step 2 — Connect your Google Ads account
Connect your Google Ads account to TrafficGuard so we can start monitoring your traffic.
Once your Google Ads account is connected, TrafficGuard will immediately begin collecting data from your campaigns. You'll start seeing traffic appear on your dashboard within half an hour.
⚠️ Note: Connecting Google Ads enables data collection and monitoring. Click fraud prevention is a separate step and is enabled after setup — see Step 4 below.
Step 3 — Add the TG Site tag to your website (optional but recommended)
Adding the TG Site Tag to your website is optional for subscription plans, but it unlocks richer data and more accurate fraud detection — including on-site behaviour signals that Google Ads alone cannot provide.
Without the TG Site tag: TrafficGuard monitors your Google Ads traffic and detects fraud based on click-level data.
With the TG Site tag: TrafficGuard also captures on-site signals, giving you deeper insights and more precise invalid traffic detection.

Step 4 — Enable Prevention
Once TrafficGuard is collecting data, you can enable active prevention to automatically block invalid traffic from your Google Ads campaigns.
💡 Tip: We recommend monitoring your dashboard for at least a couple of days after connecting Google Ads before enabling prevention, so you can review your traffic baseline first.
You're all set
Once connected, you'll see your Google Ads traffic appearing in the TrafficGuard dashboard. TrafficGuard will monitor your campaigns and — once prevention is enabled — automatically protect your ad spend from click fraud.
