The TG site tag lets TrafficGuard track user behaviour after an ad click, giving TrafficGuard deeper insight into the user journey to improve invalid traffic detection.
⚠️Note
Code Injection — the Squarespace feature used to add the TG site tag — is only available on Squarespace Premium plans. Check your Squarespace plan
Installation steps
Before you begin
You need your TrafficGuard Property ID. Your Property ID is a unique identifier in the format tg-000XXX-00X.
ℹ️ Where to find your Property ID
Go to Properties → your property → Settings and copy the Property ID.
Step 1: Copy your TG site tag
Log in to your TrafficGuard dashboard.
Navigate to Properties and click on your property.
Scroll down to find your TG site tag and copy it.
Step 2: Add the TG site tag to Squarespace
Squarespace uses a feature called Code injection to apply the tag across your entire website.
Log in to your Squarespace account and select the website you wish to protect.
Open Settings: In the home menu sidebar, go to Settings.
Navigate to Code Injection: Click Website (or Advanced in older versions) > Tools > Code Injection.
Inject the Code: Locate the Header section and paste your TG site tag into the text area.
5. Save: Click Save at the top of the panel to push the changes live.
The TG site tag will now load on every page of your Squarespace site.
💡 Note
Squarespace typically requires a Business or Commerce plan to use the Code Injection feature.
