Click report

The Click report shows individual click-level data for your Google Ads campaigns. Unlike the Campaigns or Threats reports which show aggregated summaries, the Click report lets you inspect each click in detail — seeing its validation status, IP address, keyword, device, location, and more. It is the most granular view of your traffic available in TrafficGuard and is particularly useful for investigating specific IPs, understanding why certain clicks are flagged as invalid.

Navigating the Click report

To access the Click report, navigate to your Search account and go to Reports → Click report.

Date range

By default, the report shows the last 7 days. Use the date picker to change the date range and timezone.

Filters

Filters let you narrow down the data shown in the chart and table to focus on what matters most. You can apply filters across multiple categories, including attributes, ad engagement, behaviour, exclusion, network connection, and more.

Applied filters persist across all reports — when you navigate between reports, your filters carry over so you can continue your analysis without resetting.

To know more on the metrics available in the filter read here.

Chart

The chart plots click data over the selected date range. Use the selector to switch between different values — for example, viewing campaign clicks over time.

If no data is present for the selected date range or filters, the chart will show a flat line.

Search bar

Use the search bar to look up a specific IP address. This is useful when investigating a particular source of invalid traffic or verifying whether a known IP is appearing in your data.

Data table

The data table shows each individual click as a separate row, with columns covering the key attributes of that click. You can scroll horizontally to see all available columns.

The key fields you'll see in the table include:

  • Timestamp — when the click occurred

  • Validation status — whether the click was classified as valid or invalid

  • IP address — the IP address of the user who clicked

  • GCLID — the Google Click ID associated with the click

  • Campaign — which campaign the click came from

  • Keyword — the keyword that triggered the ad

  • Device — the device type used 🔵 Location — the geographic location of the click

  • Landing page — the page the user landed on after clicking

Managing columns

You can customise which columns are shown in the data table:

🔵 Modify columns — click the Modify columns in the top right of the table to add or remove columns. The columns you select here also determine what is included when you export the report to CSV.

🔵 Segment data — click the segment icon (next to the columns icon) to break down the existing columns by an additional dimension, such as device type or network.

🔵 Expand to full screen — use the expand icon to view the table and chart in fullscreen mode for easier analysis.

Export

To export the Click report data, click Download. The exported file will include the columns currently selected under Modify columns. For more information on exporting, see Exporting data from reports.
