When you're ready to take action and enable Prevention mode, activating your Shield subscription takes just a few minutes.
What changes when you activate
Prevention mode becomes available — you can switch from Detection to Prevention at any time, allowing TrafficGuard to automatically add invalid traffic sources to your Google Ads IP exclusion list.
Your trial data is preserved — all Detection data and threat history from your trial carries over to your paid subscription.
Billing starts immediately — your subscription begins on the date you activate, not on your original trial start date.
3 ways to activate your subscription
1. Wait for your 30-day trial to expire
Your Detection trial runs for 30 days from sign-up. When the trial period ends, your subscription activates automatically — no action needed. You'll receive an email confirming your subscription start date, billing cycle, and next invoice date. Prevention mode becomes available immediately after activation.
2. Pay early
You can activate your subscription at any point during your trial without waiting for it to expire. To pay early:
Log in to your TrafficGuard dashboard.
Go to Billing → Subscription overview
Click Pay early and review your Shield plan details
Enter your payment details and confirm
You'll receive a confirmation email with your billing start date and next invoice date. Your account immediately transitions from trial to active status.
3. Switch to Prevention mode during free trial
Switching your protection mode to Prevention will also trigger subscription activation if you haven't already paid. When you toggle to Prevention mode, a payment prompt will appear to confirm your subscription before the switch takes effect. Once payment is confirmed, Prevention mode activates and your subscription starts from that date.
